Luke Mooney, PhD, is the Co-Founder and CEO of Dephy, where he and his team are pioneering a new mobility category – creating the world’s first powered wearable at the ankle, often described as an “e-bike for walking.” With bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees in mechanical engineering from MIT, Luke has spent more than a decade advancing wearable robotics and holds over 40 granted patents. Dephy’s innovations combine robotics, biomechanics, and human-centered design, tested by thousands of users across millions of steps. This work culminates in the January 2026 launch of Dephy’s first consumer product, bringing a new era of freedom, confidence, and ease to everyday movement.
