Dr. Vivian Chu is the Chief Innovation Officer and co-founder of Diligent Robotics, which builds AI that enables its robot, Moxi, to execute routine tasks so that nurses have more time for patient care. Prior to Diligent, Dr. Chu worked on robotics and AI research at Google[X], Honda Research, and IBM Research. She has her Ph.D. in Robotics at Georgia Tech, M.S.E. in Robotics from UPenn, and B.S. in EECS from UC Berkeley. As a 15+ year expert specializing in robotics, she has been recognized with awards like: Fortune 40 under 40, GT College of Computing Hall of Fame, and MIT TR 35 Under 35.
