Jake grew up in Millburn, NJ where his passion for food was nurtured in a Mediterranean fusion household blending Israeli and Italian flavors. After graduating from Vanderbilt University, Jake went from trading companies at his proprietary stock trading job to soon building one of his own with his childhood best friend. Jake founded Pepper – the social cooking app of 1M+ worldwide – in September 2021 to support home cooks sharing delicious recipes with friends & family.
