Deepak Ganesan

Professor, University of Massachusetts, Amherst

Deepak Ganesan is a Professor and Manning Fellow in the Department of Computer Science at UMASS Amherst, the Director of the Massachusetts AI and Technology Center for Connected Care in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease, a multidisciplinary initiative spanning UMass Amherst, Brigham and Womens Hospital, Massachusetts General Hospital, Brandeis University and Northeastern University and funded by the National Institute of Aging. He is also the Director of the Center for Personal Health Monitoring at UMass Amherst, a center for designing, validating and translating new health devices. He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from UCLA and his bachelors in Computer Science from IIT, Madras. His has done pioneering work in mobile health and wearable computing and is a Fellow of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).
